Catfish, Scammers and Flakes from RomanEmma's blog

We have literally been on every site imaginable and are dedicated to finding someone who will join our family. Unfortunately, we’ve had to endure nothing but catfish, scammers and flakes for the past year of trying. I do know that we are a great catch! We honestly blame the sites for not applying more security or verification measures in order to mitigate or completely prevent such profiles from being created. Being parents it’s hard to mingle or find a babysitter. We’ll see what the future holds. For all you true explorers trying to find that one, best of luck! Just don’t get roped into a scam! Ask real questions, never send money to someone, don’t release personally identifiable information to anyone. If you agree to meet with someone, make Sir family/friends have a picture of the person, location you are going, time you are meeting them, when you’ll be back/or when you’ll text/call them, and any other relevant information you can muster.

As being the founder of this site, and being on other dating sites as well. This is a problem across the board and it is getting to the point where video verification and id verification is a must before an account is approved. We check everyone that signs up. We look at IP address, read the profiles and respond to flagged accounts. The scammers are getting better and better. The problem is, before most of them came from over seas, so We can look for things like vpns ETC. However nowadays they are comming in from ISP's like comcast, vzw, cox etc. Using real pictures, probably from a friend or friend of a friend. They are mostly coming from the USA now, so our country is turning into a scammer nation. It is against our terms to send money. Never ever ever send money, gift cards etc. It is perfectly ok to reimburse once the person arrived. But you also have to look out for Gold Diggers as well. Meaning they are real people looking to get a free ride... Some people are ok with that, some are not.As being the founder of this site, and being on other dating sites as well. Thank you for the response Chris! It’s true about the other sites and everything else you mentioned! I like the idea of the video verification. As someone relatively new to this space, I find RomanEmma's post to be very informative, thank you. Also appreciate JamieNatalie's comments. I can't say for certain that it would fix all the issues that come with verification Chris. But there are a couple of services I know of that might help in this area. REP ZIP (https://repzip.com/) and MetaID (https://www.metaid.io/).
