A Day in the Life from JerryandElizabeth's blog

This is Jerry. What a day with me is like. It's not that exciting in all reality unless you like good conversation centered around Christ and the things of the Spirit. I am a homebody but occasionally I will take a trip every now and then to minister to a brother, as the Lord gives opportunity to do good and to love his sheep.

I smoke tobacco and marijuana, and have no conviction against any substance in particular. Nicotine keeps the testosterone up and marijuana helps me stayed focus on God's things. Most days I wake up go to work, return home and kiss my wife and children, eat dinner and then read the Bible with my family and teach them the things of the Lord. My brothers and sisters in Christ are always welcome at my table, and the poor and needy. I try to keep smoking weed to the late evenings and weekends. I don't keep regular contact with women and don't have women friends and my wife doesn't keep male friends either (she is loyal to me and I have preeminence in her life as a man as she holds that place in my life as a woman). I respect all men and don't meddle in their business or with their wives and daughters (save now that we are open to a another potential wife, but if your father disapproves for any reason then we cannot go further). I don't flirt, except with my wife (or wives if that becomes a reality). Treat others as you would be treated.

I may sit and play the guitar for a while, I may just sit and think, praying and meditating, or talk with a good brother on the phone for a couple hours if he needs my counsel or advice or just friendship. I'll play a game if I'm asked, but that is not what I'm all about. I do doom scroll every now and then but if you sit within my proximity I will put it down and speak with you because a person is far more interesting than FB reels. Always available for my wife and her needs whether that is discipline with the children, something that needs fixing or lifting (I'm pretty handy and like to build and fix things sometimes) or just a good shagging (always down for that fun lol). When the children are asleep, like to snack and watch a show or two. With my children I'm always available but not always up in their face.

I'm not about accumulating wealth, but building others up in wisdom, contentment, godliness and power. My wealth is faith in Christ and the true brethren that love me and my God. I love to love, but not as the world thinks love is, but the sacrificial love of God in Christ who says it is more blessed to give than to receive. To be a true living sacrifice is my purpose and design. I am very easy going when it comes to the daily things, and can tolerate many things, but not rebellion against my Lord whose commandments are far easier and lovely than the doctrines and commandments of religious hypocrites who don't truly walk with Jesus. We don't go to church, but we are the church, and we don't ask for anything from anyone but always seek to give to those in need. God provides all for us and we freely give as we have freely received. We do the things we do out of love not fear. For instance, while I may be free to eat and drink, I voluntarily submit my desires to what is best for the other and the Gospel. Not here to please myself, but to ensure you know the great liberty of the sons of God in Christ freely given to you of your Father in heaven. Let's inherit this earth as we have been blessed of the Lord to do.
