I smoke tobacco and marijuana, and have no conviction against any substance in particular. Nicotine keeps the testosterone up and marijuana helps me stayed focus on God's things. Most days I wake up go to work, return home and kiss my wife and children, eat dinner and then read the Bible with my family and teach them the things of the Lord. My brothers and sisters in Christ are always welcome at my table, and the poor and needy. I try to keep smoking weed to the late evenings and weekends. I don't keep regular contact with women and don't have women friends and my wife doesn't keep male friends either (she is loyal to me and I have preeminence in her life as a man as she holds that place in my life as a woman). I respect all men and don't meddle in their business or with their wives and daughters (save now that we are open to a another potential wife, but if your father disapproves for any reason then we cannot go further). I don't flirt, except with my wife (or wives if that becomes a reality). Treat others as you would be treated.
I may sit and play the guitar for a while, I may just sit and think, praying and meditating, or talk with a good brother on the phone for a couple hours if he needs my counsel or advice or just friendship. I'll play a game if I'm asked, but that is not what I'm all about. I do doom scroll every now and then but if you sit within my proximity I will put it down and speak with you because a person is far more interesting than FB reels. Always available for my wife and her needs whether that is discipline with the children, something that needs fixing or lifting (I'm pretty handy and like to build and fix things sometimes) or just a good shagging (always down for that fun lol). When the children are asleep, like to snack and watch a show or two. With my children I'm always available but not always up in their face.
I'm not about accumulating wealth, but building others up in wisdom, contentment, godliness and power. My wealth is faith in Christ and the true brethren that love me and my God. I love to love, but not as the world thinks love is, but the sacrificial love of God in Christ who says it is more blessed to give than to receive. To be a true living sacrifice is my purpose and design. I am very easy going when it comes to the daily things, and can tolerate many things, but not rebellion against my Lord whose commandments are far easier and lovely than the doctrines and commandments of religious hypocrites who don't truly walk with Jesus. We don't go to church, but we are the church, and we don't ask for anything from anyone but always seek to give to those in need. God provides all for us and we freely give as we have freely received. We do the things we do out of love not fear. For instance, while I may be free to eat and drink, I voluntarily submit my desires to what is best for the other and the Gospel. Not here to please myself, but to ensure you know the great liberty of the sons of God in Christ freely given to you of your Father in heaven. Let's inherit this earth as we have been blessed of the Lord to do.
This is Jerry.
These things here are spoken of a man, and not the Lord. However, I believe there is much wisdom in our brother Paul here.
He agrees, it is good for a man not to touch a woman. It's messy, risky, troublesome in the flesh, and in the eternal view in light of the power of God, one may even say vain. They do not marry nor are given in marriage in the Resurrection.
1Co 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
To avoid fornication we marry, because we love God and the opposite sex is the greatest weapon we have against fornication. To have, means she is available, and ready for service in love for her husband, as the husband likewise is for his wife.
1Co 7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
Due benevolence. This body is for your pleasure and use (within limits of course, let us not hurt each other) to help us with our sexual needs as well as fulfilling the blessing God gave us on the 6th day when he told us to go forth, be fruitful and multiply.
1Co 7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
The power to realize that blessing of sexual relationship sanctified in God's righteousness does not come of one's own body, but another's in the begetting and raising of children. This is God's purpose for marriage, and with God's blessing the proper gift of married men is what the world thinks is their greatest weakness, which is their own strength and intense sex drive.
1Co 7:5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. That great temptation is to forget how good our God is from the beginning and how it increased after Noah, we can eat and drink what we want, and be satisfied sexually while increasing the kingdom of the Lord Jesus here in this world. The meek shall inherit the earth. The great temptation is also to turn the blessing upon man into a curse. Nobody MUST get married and have children, nor is any woman truly obligated to give her body to another, even her husband, but the man truly is (if any provide not for his own he is worse than an unbeliever and has denied the faith) obligated to give his body for his wife, and soul as well as his spirit, but this desire to fulfill the blessing is impossible when living under the lie of obligatory monogamy, empowering Jezebel who holds sex over her husband. Surely, if your wife won't receive you, another will. Surely, if your husband won't do his duty to you, he will perish. Men, let the unbelieving depart but always leave room for her return, and women I desire that there would be a way back to the father of your children and that God saves his soul.
1Co 7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
1Co 7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
Paul wasn't married so he never had experiential knowledge of the secondary things of the flesh regarding sex and marriage, and acknowledged the same which is why he did not attribute his own words to the Lord (for the Lord is a Husband and his wife New Jerusalem, and all who hear me and receive me, his son). We are one.
This is Elizabeth.
"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."
"Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it."
It’s good to strive to keep an orderly, and God centered home. We are told to do so. But let’s not forget that it is not of us, but it is God working in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. May we always keep him at the forefront of our thoughts.
"Commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established."
"Let us hear the conclusion of the matter, fear God and keep his commandments."
Sex isn't love, but done according to God's commandments it is a true act of love, not only for your husband or wife, but for God and his Son and his church. God is love. I've only ever had sex with my wife, but we know the true love in Christ where there is neither male nor female, laying our lives down for one another, and whether sex is involved has nothing to do with our true Life in Jesus. I truly believe it is time for men who are led of the Spirit to have as many wives and children as possible and though I've been teaching these things, I have not yet done it myself. Let us practice what we preach, and let us see this world saved and ready for the Lord's coming. My hope is he has a great reception when he does appear and that all the nations be saved Today, in his Day.
I can’t say that I’m a blog kind of guy, even though I enjoy
writing from time to time, on my own behalf. This is an interesting way to give
a little more context into what brought my wife and I into the understanding of
this family structure (biblical polygyny).
What a weird thing to ever consider, I thought, coming from a traditional
background that ostracizes those who didn’t adhere to the one wife for life
normalcy bias. But, for years this tug
in my heart has persistently grown. Not being the kind of man that bends easily
to the will of others, or impulsive, and understanding that I’m also not
perfect in any way… I had doubts about moving in this direction. I’m a man who places
my relationship with Jesus first, and if this was the direction He wants me to lead
our family, I’m more than willing to devote myself to it.
While reading scripture and pondering the biblical applications of a moral
relationship with several women within one household… I found this family
structure to be fitting, but only to those who understand the responsibilities and
devotion they require of a man. I asked the Lord, “If there is one thing in
scripture contrary to this marital structure of wives, I will not continue this
path but maintain the life-long commitment to my wife and our children, only.”
Needless to say, I haven’t… My family knows that I’m an honorable man, and once
I chose this path, my wife, children, mother and father are just as eager to
see where this leads our family as I am.
What I’ve taken from my studies is, men are given three options when it comes
to companionship with the opposite sex. One, celibacy… never taking a wife and
maintain only the relationship he has with God. Two, monogamy… an unbreakable
bond before God to one woman, after Christ. Three, polygyny… the unbreakable bond
before God to several women, after Christ. Each choice is measured by the
abilities and gifts of the man to endure, provide and the ability to maintain his
relationship with God. Simply put, a humbled man in right standing with God
understands his weakness or his strength in carrying the burden of wives, and choses
his path to walk. And burden, isn’t to say that a woman is a burden, a Godly
woman is as close as a man can get to the nature of God Himself on earth, but she
is a responsibility of the husband to hold her and his family up and comfort them
in a brutal world… to lay his life down as Christ did for the Church. Outside
of Christ… this family structure will always succumb to the world.
